About

The Tinton Falls Public Library was founded in 1961 by a dedicated group of local residents who collected books door-to-door and initially occupied a space in a corner of the Luther Memorial Church former before moving to a larger space the old borough hall. The library moved to its present location on Tinton Avenue in front of the Tinton Falls Middle School in approximately 1975.  In 2017, we had 4900 library card holders. In addition to circulation of a variety of materials, we also provided internet access, programs, and meeting space for preschoolers to seniors, all available at no cost to the residents of Tinton Falls.

The library closed in August of 2017 because mold was discovered in the attached trailer, which was connected to the building in 2015 for use as office and meeting space. The trailer is presently sealed off and slated to be removed as part of the wider remediation planned for the building.  ADD MORE
