In late 2021 the Tinton Falls Public Library Association (TFPLA) was awarded a New Jersey Library Construction Bond Act grant. The TFPLA then worked with the Borough of Tinton Falls in 2022 to access the grant funds. Currently the TFPLA’s architect is preparing construction documents for the repair work and the Borough Engineer is preparing the mold remediation bid documents. The mold remediation Request for Proposal (RFP) will be sent out in early February and responses are expected by late February. After remediation is finished, the architect will finalize the construction documents and secure bids for the grant-funded repairs.
Monies raised from 2023 fundraising events will offset rising remediation costs and potentially supplement supplies and furniture funding as we prepare to reopen in 2024. Our first fundraiser is a Children’s Fashion Show scheduled for March 25th at Atchison School. See below for ticket information beginning March 1st.
