The Borough of Tinton Falls and the Tinton Falls Public Library Association Board of Trustees have been awarded a matching grant by the NJ State Library for the improvements needed to re-open. We are expecting the grant agreement soon. Once the Borough signs the agreement and returns it, the NJEFA (assisting the State) will perform a final review and submit the agreement to the State Librarian for execution. At that point, the Borough will be eligible for reimbursement of funds.
Library Board members plan to meet with the Borough Administrator, Engineer, and Architect to start the construction phase while the State processes the agreement so that we can proceed as soon as the funds are available.
We encourage our faithful Tinton Falls residents to attend the Library Music Festival fundraiser on August 20th from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Sycamore Soccer Fields to learn more and support our ongoing efforts to remediate and re-open the Library.
